Film Festival and Sedona 30 present ‘Live at SPAC’ concert series event featuring Face to Face and Barnaby on March 14

A double-bill of comedy and music will feature the ultimate tribute show to Elton John and Billy Joel and the high-flying physical comedy of Barnaby at the Sedona Performing Arts Center

logo_SIFFSedona AZ (March 9, 2013) – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to partner with the Sedona 30 and the National Performing Artists and Sedona Performing Arts Alliance for the “Live at SPAC” concert series at the Sedona Performing Arts Center.

The next show in the 2013 series will be on Thursday, March 14, featuring “Face to Face” — the ultimate tribute show to Elton John and Billy Joel — and the high-flying physical comedy of Barnaby.

The show is appropriate for all ages and prides itself on family-friendly entertainment. Showtime will be 7:00 p.m. on March 14 at the Sedona Performing Arts Center at Red Rock High School. Read More→

The first live show of 2013 will be on Tuesday, Jan. 15 featuring two top acts from Las Vegas and Branson: Bob Anderson — named by People Magazine as America’s #1 Singing Impressionist — and Larry Linkin, named by Downbeat Magazine as one of the top 5 clarinetists in music. Read More→

Grants Awarded to Sedona Public Library

Sedona AZ (December 10, 2012) – Sedona Public Library has been fortunate to receive a number of grants this year that will allow us to improve and expand services.

At the recent “Spirit of Sedona” awards presentation we received funding from the Sedona Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Arizona Community Foundation. A disc cleaner will be purchased with our award, in order to put damaged DVDs and books on CD back in circulation. The Library received an additional donation from the Sedona Community Foundation, as one of the designated charities of Design Group Architects, the Business Benefactor of the year. Read More→

Sedona 30 Supports Local Organizations

Sedona AZ (October 20, 2012) – Continuing the tradition of local community support, the Sedona 30 recently recognized the efforts of three outstanding organizations with specific project grants. 

The Sedona Charter School received a grant to support an advanced mathematics program; the Sedona Public Library received a grant to landscape and provide signs to improve library book drop-off; and the Sinfonietta will expand a youth education program through the assistance of the Sedona 30 grant. Young Voices to be Heard Receives Grant from Sedona 30

Sedona AZ (January 13, 2012) – Sedona’s Young Voice Be Heard, a non-profit youth poetry organization, received a $5,000 grant from the Sedona 30 on December 5th, 2011.

Peter Fagan made the presentation at the Sedona Public Library during YVBH’s weekly afterschool Poetry Club meeting.

The students in attendance were told by their mentor, Ya’ir “Christopher” Lane, that they would receive a surprise later in the meeting. “Is it pizza?” Mackinzi Taylor, a Junior at Sedona Red Rock High School, asked. “Nope, way better!” replied Lane. Read More→

Comedian Jimmy Travis will open the show that promises fun for the entire family!

Sedona International Film FestivalSedona AZ (December 26, 2011) – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to partner with the Sedona 30 and the National Performing Artists for a series of live concert and performance events at the new Sedona Performing Arts Center in 2012.

The first show in the series will be on Thursday, Jan. 12. The show will feature the Sedona debut of world-renowned, international performers Jim Curry and his band with a tribute to John Denver. Special guest Jim Connor — who wrote the gold-record hit “Grandma’s Feather Bed” for John Denver — will make an appearance, and comedian Jimmy Travis will open the show with his brand of humor and music.
