Grads going to Disneyland, and they need your help

Sedona, AZ - April 16, 2008 - Remember the pride and tradition of your high school graduation, the excitement of an accomplishment, and a milestone achieved?

Graduation day can be the most memorable and rewarding experience; and now is your chance to experience it once again by supporting the 2008 Sedona Red Rock High School graduation class.

Each year, the Sedona Red Rock High School (SRRHS) graduation committee plans a senior picnic, the commencement ceremony and a safe drug/alcohol free grad night celebration.

This year the 2008 graduation ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 21st at 7:00 pm. The following day all graduates are invited to embark on an exciting motor coach trip to the official “ALL NIGHT” Disneyland Grad Nite ‘08 party in Anaheim, CA.

Disneyland has been providing grad nite events for over 40 years. This Disney trip will take the place of the graduation party done in the past, but will continue to supply the fun, food, scholarships, prizes and raffle drawings our graduates deserve.

In order to provide an enhanced commencement ceremony, senior picnic and Disneyland Grad Nite 08, we are asking greater Sedona community members for donations. It is our desire that every graduating senior will be able to participate at no expense. With your donation, our SRRHS graduates, families and community, can enjoy a wonderful time in the lives of these young adults, as they set forth and begin their new endeavors. Please consider donating to this once in a lifetime graduation event.

There is still time to join the many area businesses and organizations that have already donated to the graduation. Many of them know the importance of providing our graduates with festivities that promote a safe environment for celebration, and we as a community should support all these efforts. Not only do these events keep the students safe, but the community can take pride in giving the graduates a memorable farewell.

The senior class of 2008 has been raising money to help offset some the expenses themselves. The next event will be a Car Wash on Saturday, April 19, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm in Cottonwood at the Wal-Mart Supercenter. Please attend this fundraiser to support the seniors, they make what they wash and you get a clean car to enjoy.

If anyone is interested in donating to Graduation 2008, please make checks payable to SRRHS Graduation 2008 and drop off or mail your donation to Sedona Red Rock High School, 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Rd, Sedona, AZ 86336. Your donation is tax deductible as a 501 (c)3 charitable contribution.

We hope you decide to be a part of this exciting time. Sedona Red Rock High School would like to cordially invite the community to Graduation 2008, Wednesday, May 21 @ 7:00 p.m. on the SRRHS Football Stadium Field. The ceremony will truly be an enjoyable experience for all who attends. The Class of 2008 would love to share with the community all their memories of high school and future dreams for tomorrow.
