Sedona, AZ --
This week crews in the Village will focus on building the
roundabouts at Jack's Canyon and Ridge Trail, as those will be the
first two roundabouts to become functional in the Village. The
Cortez and Bell Rock Boulevard roundabouts will follow. To
accomplish this work quickly, crews will need to close the
associated side roads one at a time and detour traffic. Each side
road closure should last one to two weeks, barring any unforeseen
circumstances. Business access will remain open, two-way traffic on
SR 179 is being maintained, and detour routes will be clearly
marked.

Business and resident forums scheduled for December 5 and 11
In cooperation with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT),
the City of Sedona and Sedona Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring two
business forums and two resident forums to share information about
Phase Two of the Highway 179 Improvement Project. The intent is to
ensure that local residents and business people are aware of the
challenges and opportunities that lie ahead during construction of
the new roadway and related improvements.
The meeting will include an overview of the project components and
design, communications efforts regarding the project, and business
promotions and signage concepts for the construction corridor. The
City, the Chamber of Commerce and ADOT are continuing to work
together to reach out to the community and keep everyone informed
about the future of the Highway 179 corridor.
Time will be made available for the public to interact with
representatives from the City, Chamber of Commerce and Arizona
Department of Transportation.
Meetings will be held at the Church of the Red Rocks, located at 54
Bowstring Drive. Dates and times are as follows:
Business Forums
