NAU junior Sophia Choi, sophomore Ali Carter and seniors Heather Jabczenski , Vicki Power and Noel Larson represented the Lumberjacks.

Liliana Alvarez of Northwestern University putts on #9 at the Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Arizona.

Seven teams returned for a second consecutive season to the event, including Gonzaga, Montana, Montana State, Northern Arizona, Portland State, UC Riverside and Western Michigan.

As expected, the highest ranked team in the field Northwestern University (30) won with a 601 total score, followed by Washington State University with a 602 and Michigan (34) with a 609.

The individual medalist was Liliana Alvarez (82) from Northwestern University with +3 total score of 147.

Spectator attendance was meager for this event due likely to a combination of limited advertising and the Sedona International Film Festival that took place this weekend.

Tracy Broders of Washington State U. putts on #8 at the Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Arizona.

Last year NAU junior Vicki Power birdied three of her final five holes to help Northern Arizona tie with a 623 for the team title with Texas-El Paso. Sophomore Sophia Choi was the top finisher for the Lumberjacks in second place overall after a four-over par 76 to finish two strokes behind individual medalist Mary Kate Morgan of Gonzaga.
