Sedona Teen Center's Skatefest a huge success
Sedona, AZ - June 21, 2008 - The Boys & Girls Clubs of
Northern Arizona gathered at the Sedona Teen Center for Skatefest,
featuring DJ Taze on Saturday, June 7.
A total of 30 competitors and about 100 spectators came out to the
impressive skate competition held at Jack Malmgren Memorial Skate
Park. All skill levels were encouraged to participate. Festivities
included a raffle and the highly anticipated DJ Taze, who came in
from Los Angeles specifically for Skatefest.
“[DJ Taze] spun Hip-Hop all day long and had everyone in attendance
feeling the vibe of the competition. He truly set the tone for the
day’s festivities and will be more than welcome at future events,”
said Boys & Girls Club Sedona Teen Center Director Albert Rodriguez.
Participants were separated into three groups based on beginner,
intermediate and advanced skill level, and were given the
opportunity to show off their skating ability while the judges
overlooked.
