Visit ancient ruins at the Tuzigoot National Monument [info] or the Montezuma Castle National Monument [info] near Clarkdale, take a day trip to the Grand Canyon [info], a jeep ride, or see the red rocks from a balloon! Of course you can always rent a car and explore on your own.  There's also a scenic train ride right in the Verde Valley.

The Coconino National Forest service recently issued a free audio tour of Oak Creek Canyon (Arizona Scenic Highway 89A).   It's available in two formats: .mp3 and .wma. These are useful for downloading and burning to a CD (.wma) or uploading to your MP3 Player (such as an IPod, etc.). Start the Northbound Tour as you leave Sedona heading toward Flagstaff or start the Southbound Tour just before you get to the top of the switchbacks at Oak Creek Vista. Click here for download:  Oak Creek Audio Tour

Scenic Drives:  (1) 89A from Sedona to Flagstaff (30 miles or 60 minutes); (2) 89A from Sedona to Prescott via Jerome (70 miles or 1:45 minutes) (both are windy but breathtaking).
