“The Sedona Experience” at Sedona Dream Theater

The tourist oriented show runs three times a week

Sedona, AZ - April 18, 2008 - After nearly six months in pre production, The Sedona Dream Theater has announced the opening of their New Multimedia Live Show, “The Sedona Experience.” The tourist oriented show runs three times a week:  Saturday @3:30pm, Sunday @6:30pm, and Wednesday @7:30pm.

“This show was the idea we had for the Dream Theater since the beginning. It’s been a lot of work and investment but, finally, all of the pieces are in place and we're ready to open,” says theater partner Ron James.

“This is the vision. To use this beautiful theater to create a show that is much more than a show. A show that touches the audience on so many levels that it becomes transcending. If we can pull that off, we will have made something magical. And I believe we have.”

“The Sedona Experience” is what James calls the ‘World’s first Multimedia Metaphysical stage show.’

The WHAT?

Imagine this: The lights go down and suddenly a huge image is projected on the Dream Theater’s fifty foot movie screen. The image is made up of a combination of feeds from up to three different projectors.

The story begins with a opening video primer on modern science and the fact that new theories and revelations make things like psychic power, healing energy, earth energy and more all seem to fit into some new models of accepted theory.

Jeff Allen on the "Sedona Experience" stage delivers psychic messages.

“The point we are trying to make is that what used to be “Woo woo” and farfetched is actually gaining legitimate credibility, and therefore deserves a second, more serious exploration. Statistically, many people are coming to Sedona because they are curious about things of a spiritual nature. We're just showing them the validity of some exciting ways to look at things.”

To establish such science, the show begins with exclusive interviews from some of the biggest names in “conscious science.’ From “What the Bleep” and “The Secret,” the audience is treated to commentary by such notables ad Bill Tiller, Greg Braden, Amit Goswami and more. To address things like vortex energy and Sedona’s special draw, commentary from experts such as Pete Sanders polishes off the mix.

“The opening sequences are movies, all designed to get people to open their minds as we begin the live portion of the show,” says James.

After establishing the basis for what the audience is about to experience, each cast member delivers their own story.

What is the story? James says, “It’s really a lot of our stories. The same story told in many ways by many people, but basically, it’s like this. “I came to Sedona through a synchronicity or quirk of fate. I have discovered my own personal abilities have become more focused and magnified here. It is probably because of the special energies of Sedona. Now I will show you what I mean.”

What happens, in a moment of performance magic, is that as the movie screen goes partially dark, the lights come on, illuminating a beautiful stage, and there, live and in person, is the same individual the audience just saw on the screen.

The show has four main live segments, most of which have an audience interaction. Audience members will see live demonstrations via computers, biofeedback devices, cameras and more, of energy fields being manipulated and altered, psychics hitting on “impressions,” star charts revealing current events in people lives, and much more.

The players themselves rotate even though the roles do not change. Currently, the show’s cast is: Kim McDermott, Terra Sonora, Jeff Allen, Paul Ka’iwi Vincze, Ansara, Tiffany Tatum, Claudia Coronado and John Dumas.

“Without giving the whole thing away, let me just say this. We are going to take you on a journey through the human energy field, the power of your own healing energy, the truth about psychic ability, and even the validity and mystery of astrology. You are going to see it, feel it, and above all, experience it.”

“It’s knowledge humanity is discovering and rediscovering, and what better place to take it to the average person that in a theater in Sedona, carved deep into the Red Rock, and calling to us in our dreams?”

“This is more than a show, it truly IS an experience. You can’t buy it on DVD, you can’t get it just by reading about it or letting a friend describe it. It is truly a different thing for everyone.”

The show has been previewed for a few people, including some tourists. A couple from Montgomery, Alabama were literally moved to tears, and called the show “The highlight of our vacation.”

“Those kind of reactions are going to happen a lot. This is a powerful thing operating on a lot of levels, and it is the result of our own following a vision, and even a divine directive.”

James’s partner, Kim McDermott, is also a performer, opening the show with an introduction to the energetic human form. Kim has lectured on the same subject at Enchantment Resort and taught the material for years.

“She’s amazing. Many people know me more than they know her, but she’s the glue that holds it all together and she’s quite incredible. Nothing we’ve accomplished could have been done without her.”

Tickets for “The Sedona Experience” are $39.00. Local discounts are available by showing local ID or being the recipient of special invitations.

“The show isn’t really aimed at the locals, they take a lot of this stuff for granted. But like it says in our advertising, if you came to Sedona for an experience, this is where you’ll have it…”

The Sedona Dream Theater is located at 6615 Hwy. 179, Sedona AZ.  Call 928-284-0005 for more info.
