Boys and Girls Clubs
to host Fine Art Exhibit on March 13
Sedona, AZ – Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern
Arizona (BGCNA) is proud to announce participation
in the National Fine Arts Exhibit, an annual
competition through Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
The exhibit will be on display March 13 from 6 to 7
p.m. at the Sedona Teen Center, 480 Posse Ground
Road.
The public is invited to attend this free event and
enjoy refreshments and artwork ranging from
sculpture to paintings from BGCNA members ages 5 to
14.
This competition, which encourages creativity
through a variety of media, is made up of local,
regional and national exhibits. Young people are
encouraged to create artwork in any of the following
categories: monochromatic drawing, multicolored
drawing, pastels, water color, oil or acrylic, print
making, mixed media, collage and sculpture. Artwork
selected through the national competition will be
displayed at Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s
National Conference in San Francisco this May.
About the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Arizona
The Boys & Girls Club has played a role in the
Sedona, Village of Oak Creek and Cottonwood
communities for over ten years. It provides
critical, daily services to hundreds of Northern
Arizona's youth through three Club sites, and the
Sedona Teen Center. Each site provides programs that
emphasize character and leadership development,
education and career enhancement, health and life
skills, the arts, sports, fitness and recreation.
The Club also provides outreach programming through
its MethSMART program through partnership with the
Arizona Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs and local
schools.
