Sedona AZ (July 18, 2012) – What do Canyon Moon Theatre and NBC TV’s hit show Second Chance have in common? Al Raitano singing Joe Cocker’s “Leave Your Hat On,” a performance that won him the title of America’s Most Talented Senior. On July 21 at 7:30 PM, Sedona will get to hear him sing this very special song in person accompanied by Bob Grogan. This show is presented by Allie Ollie, our Season XIV sponsor!
“Leave Your Hat On” was written by Randy Newman and made famous when it was featured in the film 9½ Weeks. But Al’s repertoire includes a wide range of music from the stylings of the great male singers like Sinatra and Bennett to Motown to the music of Stan Getz.
An exciting, versatile, international entertainer, Al has performed from New York City to Los Angeles and all across the United States as well as in Paris, Canada and Puerto Rico. In Phoenix, Al is known for his record breaking run at the Pointe Resorts. Visit YouTube to hear Al singing at ELI’s on the night he was inducted into the Arizona Entertainers Hall of Fame.
Bob Grogan is best known for his group J & B on the Rocks. Bob’s love of music has been evident since he was a child, but life led him in other directions for many years. After serving in the Marine Corps, Bob joined the LAPD in 1961. When Bob moved to Sedona in 1991, he went back to his first love, music.
