A week-long journey of sharing and growth

Something very special happened in the first week of February, and the reverberations are still being felt by many who attended the events of Sedona’s first annual World Peace Dance Celebration.

Beginning with a stirring yet practical speech on Sunday by non-violence activist John Dear, the week moved into a treasure trove of 22 workshops, all donated by volunteer Sedona artists, facilitators and experts in many fields from personal growth to spiritual enlightenment. As each workshop was presented, a very flexible community of attendees began gathering at different workshop events – and as the week progressed so did the very tangible sharing of peace, understanding, compassion and discovery. Fee-free days coming up on Coconino NF

logo_USFS_USDAFlagstaff AZ (February 11, 2014) – The Coconino National Forest will waive fees associated with many recreation sites and amenities on Feb. 15-17 in celebration of Presidents Day.

As part of this nationwide event, fees will be waived for the entire Red Rock Pass area including Palatki and Honanki Ruins, V Bar V Cultural Site and approximately 300 miles of multiple-use trails. Read More→

City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (February 11, 2014) – As the City’s new Arts & Culture Coordinator, I am pleased to report the current progress within the City’s various arts and culture programs.

The Artist in the Classroom program, of which I was an active member for several years, has always been close to my heart. The program has grown to over 30 artists, with 21 new to the program this year and all with impressive backgrounds. There has been wonderful exposure through the Red Rock News featuring artists that have helped create and develop curriculum with teachers in our local schools.
