Clarkdale AZ (October 1, 2013) – The public, friends and supporters of Yavapai College are invited to enjoy an epicurean adventure at Yavapai College Foundation’s Fourth Annual “Art, Wine & Dine in the Verde Countryside,” Friday, October 18 at 5:30 p.m. in the Chuck Mabery Pavilion on the College’s Verde Valley Campus, 601 Black Hills Drive in Clarkdale.

City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (October 1, 2013) – Starting October 4, 2013, the photography of Grazina Wade will be exhibited at Sedona City Hall. Grazina’s varied photographs capture the beauty of the southwest throughout Arizona and Utah. Images include the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Bryce Canyon, Canyon de Chelly, as well as Hawaii, England, and Lithuania.

Grazina was born and raised in Boston and later lived in Germany and New York. Her interest in photography started at an early age and she later enrolled into Tufts/Museum School. After being inspired by the works of Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Steiglitz and Paul Strand, and Grazina pursued black and white photography of the New England landscape. Read More→

Pitts is President and Chairman of the Board for both the Verde Valley Wine Consortium and the Jerome Chamber of Commerce. Tom owns Belgian Jennie’s Bordello Bistro & Pizzeria in Jerome. He also serves as secretary for the Jerome Historical Society, and he is one of the founding members of the Sedona Verde Valley Tourism Council. Additionally, Pitts is a director of the Verde Valley Regional Economic Organization and was selected as the Tourism Champion for the Verde Valley Pride Awards in 2012.

There will be a toy collection box for Verde Valley Toys for Tots at the meeting and attendees are urged to bring a toy valued at $10 or more for children aged Infant through 12 years. Read More→

Artists must live, work, or be taking art classes in Clarkdale to be eligible. Previously accepted artists do not have to re-jury if they still live or work in Clarkdale. Those eligible only as students taking art classes must re-jury each year.

All art media will be considered. Art must be original and conceived and created by the artist. No kits or crafts made from the patterns of others will be accepted. Read More→

There will be organized games and prizes, pumpkin decorating, bobbing for apples, goodie bags, and at the end, everyone participating will be able to take home one pumpkin. There are also new games and activities on the pool deck this year thanks to a sponsorship from Diamond Resorts International.
